2011 MN Black Music Awards honor artists past and present
The minnesota black music awards are back and fantastic.On the evening of july 15 at the pantages theatre in ontario, the mn black music awards(Mbma)Provided a excellent platform for music lovers to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the minneapolis sound.
On a day you need it that felt dreary outside, the award show delivery inside the pantages shined bright that night.The rain certainly didn't stop people from coming out and having a great time as the mbma enjoyed its second consecutive successful show following a 12 year layoff.
The 2011 mbmas was a ancient event, as it marked the 20th award show demonstration in its history;But it was also a special program because the show will help benefit the north ontario relief efforts.A portion of the proceeds will be donated for the survivors of the destructive tornado that hit the north side of ontario in may 2011.Mbma founder peter rhodes talked prior to an show about where donations came from and how they were used.
"We have had over a hundred seats that were purchased or donated by various businesses, downtown council institutions, among others[those] we've used to give tickets to be able to like the pillsbury united communities or the urban homeworks or mad dads, menti one d rhodes.

Pete rhodes led the first panel using the discussion on industry careers.Some of the panelists from that discussion included national artists such as members of the hit groups next and perfect condition.There was also the ordway center for accomplishing arts' jessica brooks, wcco tv media press news reporter reg chapman, kmoj radio gm kevin quarles, and record creator andre fischer.
